STACCATO HD C3.6 CA
The Staccato HD C3.6 CA is the best carry gun on the CA Roster in my opinion. Yes, it is expensive. If I’m looking at pistols from a shootability perspective, the C3.6 shoots better than just about everything else you can find on the roster.

I’ve been carrying the C3.6 since its launch in California (NOV. 2025). It’s been about three full months of consistent range time, dry fire training, and time in the holster.

Over a couple thousand rounds, I’ve only had one malfunction, which was a failure to go into battery, almost certainly cheap ammo related. The pistol points like every other 2011, with the same natural grip angle we’ve come to know and love. As I’ve trained with the pistol, I’ve found it very easy to conceal, to get fast and consistent draws from concealment, and to get quick follow-up shots.

As for the PROs:
The C3.6 has an awesome recoil impulse with quick return to zero, making it easy to get quick follow-up shots. With a good master grip, I found the dot doesn’t leave the window, which is impressive for a non-compensated compact size pistol. I like that it takes Glock pattern magazines, which is very useful for us in CA; plus the cost for magazines is lower. The Glock pattern magazines are also much more reliable than standard 2011 pattern magazines.

The CONs:
The C3.6 doesn’t come with optics plates included; they are an additional cost. For me, I have to run it with the magwell for it to fit my hand, which is also an additional cost.
